Google API Services and Gmail Data

If you connect your Google account to Blanket, Blanket may access certain Gmail data through Google OAuth in order to provide email-based features within the Blanket platform (the “Platform”).

Categories of Google Data We Access

Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, Blanket may access:

  • The content of Gmail messages and message threads;
  • Message metadata, such as sender, recipient, subject line, timestamps, and labels;
  • Gmail labels; and
  • Draft messages and email sending capabilities, including the ability to create drafts and send messages on your behalf when you direct Blanket to do so.

How We Use Google Data

Blanket uses Google data only to provide, maintain, secure, and support the specific user-facing features available in the Platform, including:

  • Analyzing email threads with property owners and related contacts;
  • Identifying communication gaps, unanswered questions, and signals of disengagement or churn risk;
  • Generating personalized risk insights and recommended next steps for the user;
  • Preparing draft replies, follow-ups, and related communications for user review; and
  • Sending emails or saving drafts on the user’s behalf when the user initiates that action.

Blanket does not use Google user data for advertising, and does not sell Google user data.

AI Processing and Third-Party Service Providers

To provide the features described above, Blanket may process Google-derived email data using third-party service providers, including cloud hosting, authentication, and artificial intelligence service providers.

In particular, Blanket may transmit Gmail message content, thread context, message metadata, and related prompts generated within the Platform to third-party AI processors — including providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, and Google — solely to:

  • Analyze communications;
  • Generate churn-risk insights;
  • Recommend follow-up actions; and
  • Prepare draft responses for the requesting user.

Blanket requires such providers by contract to process this data only to provide services to Blanket and not for their own independent purposes. Blanket does not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

Data Storage, Security, and Retention

For clarity, “Google-derived data” in this section includes Gmail message content, thread context, metadata, labels, drafts, and related outputs generated from that data within the Platform.

Google-derived data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Blanket stores relevant data using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and related infrastructure providers, and applies access controls designed to limit access to authorized personnel who require such access to perform their job responsibilities.

Blanket generally retains Google-derived data processed for these features for up to 30 days in its managed processing and memory systems, unless a shorter period applies, the user requests deletion, or retention is required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. OAuth tokens are stored securely and are deleted or revoked when no longer needed.

Human Access

Blanket personnel do not access the content of Google user data except in limited circumstances:

  • With the user’s affirmative consent for a specific support or troubleshooting request;
  • When necessary for security, fraud prevention, or abuse investigation;
  • When required to comply with applicable law; or
  • When data has been aggregated and de-identified for internal operational purposes in accordance with applicable law.

Limited Use Disclosure

Blanket’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Without limiting the foregoing, Blanket will not:

  • Sell Google user data to third parties, including advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers;
  • Use Google user data for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalized advertising, or interest-based advertising; or
  • Use Google user data to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.

Blanket requires its employees, agents, contractors, and subprocessors that handle Google user data to comply with these restrictions.

Revocation and Deletion

You may revoke Blanket’s access to your Google account at any time through:

You can view information about the Google permissions granted to Blanket, the categories of data used by these features, retention details, and available export or deletion options through the Platform’s account settings (Settings > Integrations > Gmail > Your Data).

When you disconnect, Blanket will promptly revoke the associated OAuth tokens. Remaining Google-derived data in Blanket’s processing and memory systems will be deleted within 30 days, consistent with Blanket’s standard retention cycle. You may also request expedited deletion of Google-derived data by contacting support@blankethomes.com.

Data retention and security

We retain your information for as long as needed to operate the Website, and thereafter as needed for record-keeping matters.

We will retain your information for as long as needed to operate the Website. Thereafter, we will still retain your personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, establish, and defend legal claims and enforce our agreements. The overall period of retention is approximately 7 years.

We implement measures to secure your information.

We implement measures to reduce the risks of damage, loss of information and unauthorized access or use of information, such as HTTPS and TLS connection to our database from our servers, managed firewall by AWS guarding our servers, encryption at rest for all data and least privilege policy for accessing the servers. However, these measures do not provide absolute information security. Therefore, although efforts are made to secure your personal information, there is no guarantee that it will be immune from information security risks.
